# I have just been diagnosed with a new medical condition – what should I do?

New medical conditions after you purchase

If you start suffering from a new symptom of set of symptoms after you purchase your policy you’ll be covered for any subsequent diagnosis of a new medical condition automatically and without charge. Please note that

- For Single Trip, cover will continue until the policy's expiry date.

- For Annual Multi-Trip policies, cover will remain in place until your renewal date. Please be aware that If you book a new trip under your annual policy there is no cover where you are already aware of circumstances that could lead to a claim, for example if you’ve be declared not fit to fly due to your new medical condition, you wouldn’t have any cover for cancellation for a newly booked trip.

If you were already aware of the symptom(s) prior to purchasing please see ‘What happens if I forgot to declare my medical conditions when I applied for insurance?’
